This Hip-Hop project, “Thought U Knew”, has unique sound from its Lo-Fi and Jazz influences. It also pays homage to Hip-Hop’s underground forerunners in the Bay area and beyond.
With Jada Imani’s lyricism that fluctuates from cryptic to cripplingly relatable, and production by Mcstravick that reveals hours of crate-digging and versatile sound, this project makes for a well-rounded journey. From a turn up, to introspection, to a restorative ending, “Thought U Knew” is an interactive journey.
